WORK WITH CHILDREN

started in 2004

201,128 children screened in schools since 2004, as part
of the AECP field mission in all regions of Armenia.
Including 22,669 schoolchildren’s screening (2018- 2019)
from 60 schools throughout Armenia in cooperation with the
Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. 4,300 referred to specialized
eye clinics for detailed examination. Sample survey done
(5,994 schoolchildren) to discover prevalence data among
children aged 6-15. 18,934 schoolchildren underwent eye screening in cooperation with the USAID, and around 4,034 of them referred to specialized eye clinics for further examination and treatment.

    1,200 Desunik’s Game of Sight distributed at schools all over
    Armenia.
